Dr. Rygiel

Dr. Richard Rygiel, having a deep understanding of some of the unique concerns of women and their health, has been a practicing OB/Gyn for over 20 years.  Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and a fellow of FACOG, he earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan and completed his residency at Washington University at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, MO.  His areas of special interest include infertility, high-risk obstetrics, colposcopy, advanced laporoscopy, urogynecology and menopausal care.  Dr. Rygiel is certified in pelviscopic and laser surgery.

 

Having once served as the Medical Expert for the Colorado Springs Teen Pregnancy Center and speaking in local high schools to teens, as well as serving as an Assistant Scout Master in the Boy Scouts of America, Dr. Rygiel has compassion for community and today’s youth.

Dr. Rygiel cares for women in all stages of life, with a focus on today’s aging generation. His understanding of how hormones affect the body and how to create balance is key to a feeling of well being. Dr. Rygiel supports the use of bio-identical hormone replacement when beneficial. From young women just starting their relationship with an OB/Gyn to those later in life, Dr. Rygiel has a keen understanding of how a woman’s body works.

Most recently, and with great honor, Dr. Rygiel has been selected as this year’s Champion of Medicine where speaker, Newt Gingrich, will be presenting the award in Washington D.C. in the Ronald Reagan building. Dr. Rygiel shares exclusive company, with less than 100 Physicians, being presented with this very prestigious award
